Thanks to everyone who voted on last week’s poll about what you’d like to see more of on My Life in Food. Per your feedback, I will continue to share recipes and photos of the food I make, aiming to post at least two each week. Another popular selection (as I’d secretly hoped) was a guest post from Alex!
Now, as you may or may not know, Alex is an engineer. And not that I’m stereotyping, but you can probably guess that this means writing is not high on Alex’s “fun things I’ve been meaning to do” list. In fact, he’s rather shy about it.
For his first post – coming next week – he’s going to do a sort of question-answer style of writing. You submit the questions, he’ll provide the answers! So, bring on the questions! Have you got something you’ve been dying to ask? Maybe you want to know what he really thinks of all this. Or maybe you’re wondering if he really eats (and enjoys) all the food I cook. Or what he’s doing when I’m off preparing our meals and blogging. Or maybe you just want to know more about Alex–what his favorite TV show is, or what NFL team he roots for, or what song he’d have play every time he entered a room (if he could have his own soundtrack).
Whatever you might be wondering about my better half, ask! We’re not mind-readers! To submit your inquiries, leave a comment on this post. (See below for how to do that). We’ll approve the comments as they come in and start working on Alex’s first guest post. Oh, and we’d like to get your inquiries by Friday, October 8 at 10:00 P.M. (EST), so don’t dilly-dally! And be sure to stay tuned next week to get your answers. We’re excited to see what you wanna know!
To leave a comment with your question for Alex, click on “Leave a Comment” at the end of this post. If someone has already submitted a comment, you will see “1 Comment” or “2 Comments” or “10 Comments” instead of “Leave a Comment.” Click there and scroll down until you see some blank boxes. Enter your name (and your email/website if desired). Write your question in the white box and click “Post Comment” when you are finished. If you want to know if/when someone replies to your comment, select the box that says “Notify me of follow-up comments via email” before you click “Post Comment” (and note that this implies you’re leaving your email address. And no, your email address will not be published on my blog–it’s just so you can get the notifications and in case I need to contact you directly.)
Oh, and one more thing. Even if you don’t have a question for Alex, maybe you’d consider leaving him a little encouragement, eh?
